Steve McNair

Another athlete dies and as usual what is part of the equation? A girl (not his wife) and gun. Why can't all the programs in place at the NFL, NBA and MLB level address these problems?

McNair by all accounts was considered a great guy, not a knucklehead by any means. But in the end, he's with his girlfriend with DUI charges, late night rendevous, and gun play. Meanwhile his wife and four kids were at home, where they were supposed to be, where he was supposed to be and they remain safe and he puts himself in harm's way.

A tragedy that sadly could have been avoided.

    When the facts come out it will only get worse! He had a honey on the side who was a pyscho. I'm with the original poster, stay ome with your WIFE and KIDS!

    Thought I'd jump into the conversation and you may not like it. The proble is 90% of the athletes and entertainers all sleep around on there boyfriends, girlfriends, husbands and wifes. It's just the way it is. The nature of "their" business. Not saying it's right or wrong...just the way it is.

    Okay, I'll jump in too. Just because 90% sleep around doesn't make it right. HOF23 you said, "i'm not saying it's right or wrong..."

    But there's your flaw, "it's wrong". It might be able to be justified but it's wrong. He stays with wife and kids and he's still with us today.

    Anonymous I think you're half right. Crazy girls a.k.a Dirty girls, jump offs or late night creep treats (haha) aren't killers. Crazy killers are killers. How can you tell if you're Steve McNair? You can't so keep that crazy shit away from home base. His wife knew what he was up too. Youo can't tell me she didn't know when he's out at the club with the jump off, brought her a new car and condo....(wait for it) ALL IN THE SAME CITY!!!

    Results are out - she was a crazy and she had gun residue on her hands. Maybe he couldn't tell if she was crazy or not but why take a chance?? Guys, just be good guys and keep it home...damn.
